Clara Maya's Brand Identity by Linhares, Matosinhos & Fadul Spans Vinyl to Tooth Gem

architecture-design · 2026-05-14

Design studio Linhares, Matosinhos & Fadul created a music artist brand identity for Brazilian DJ and producer Clara Maya. The system centers on a bold custom typeface: a white ultra-rounded wordmark filling the lower half of frames, pressed directly against orange-lit portraits without outlines or shadows. A strict five-color palette—orange-red (#E8401C), magenta (#E040C0), purple (#7B20C8), black, and near-white—is applied uniformly across all surfaces. Applications range from vinyl sleeves (distorted MAYA logotype on magenta, glossy black record, orange radial burst) to a diamond tooth gem engraved with the wordmark and micro-type. The identity also appears on an embossed puffer jacket logo, red nylon tour wristbands, and crowd photography with condensed all-caps type. The designers emphasize the system's coherence across scales, from packaging to body adornment.
