Cj Hendry Opens Permanent Flower Shop in Hong Kong

Artist Cj Hendry has opened a permanent three-level flagship store called Flower Shop in Hong Kong, located at G/F, 15 Aberdeen Street in Central, near PMQ. The shop features soft-sculpture flowers that never wilt, priced at HK$75 per stem with a complimentary tenth flower for each purchase. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., it is Hendry's first flagship in Asia and marks a shift from temporary installations to a permanent destination. The project extends her exploration of transforming ordinary objects into surreal experiences, balancing celebration and impermanence. Hendry, born in Brisbane in 1988 and based in New York, gained recognition for hyperrealistic colored pencil drawings before expanding into immersive installations, including a monumental pool in the Nevada desert and flower markets. Her Hong Kong connection includes juju world at Pacific Place and a Flower Market at Central Harbourfront during Art Basel, as well as a collaboration with Christian Louboutin. The new shop blends art installation, retail, and botanical fantasy, offering visitors a chance to take home a piece of her colorful world. Hendry's work has attracted celebrity collectors and blurs boundaries between art, fashion, and retail.
