Christopher Joshua Benton's Mirrored Orb to Anchor Faena Art's Miami Art Week Programme
From December 1 to 6, 2026, a striking mirrored sculpture named A Lore Supreme, measuring 28 feet in height and 44 feet in width, will be unveiled behind the Faena Hotel on Miami Beach, aligning with Art Basel Miami Beach. The piece, crafted by artist Christopher Joshua Benton from Abu Dhabi, boasts 7,000 reflective facets resembling a spinning disco ball and a reimagined world map. Embedded speakers will feature music and dialogues from Miami's diverse communities. Produced by Faena Art, established by Alan Faena in 2011, the event will be free to the public. Major Lazer is set to headline a concert, while wellness activities will take place at Island Funk House. Marinella Senatore's light installation, An Expanded Baroque Crown, will also showcase various performances.
