Choreography of Violence: Counter Images Opens at Gallery Novo
On July 10, 2026, at 21:00, Gallery Novo will unveil the exhibition 'Choreography of Violence: Counter Images', showcasing the works of Jelena Jureša, Jean-Luc Godard, and Nebojša Slijepčević. This event, curated by Branka Benčić, marks the 25th iteration of the Cinemaniac > Think Film side programme associated with the Pula Film Festival. The exhibition delves into themes of collective memory and political accountability through visual media. It also continues the conversation initiated by Jureša's solo exhibition of the same title, which took place at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka in 2025. The project is a collaboration between MMSU Rijeka, Metamedia Association, and Apoteka – Space for Contemporary Art, alongside partner KASK – School of Art Ghent.
