Chleboteka Okrąglak by CUDO: Modernist Café Interior in Wrocław

Polish architecture studio CUDO has designed the interior of Chleboteka Okrąglak, a café located in the iconic Okrąglak building in Wrocław, Poland. The project, curated by Nina Vuga, is slated for completion in 2026 and covers 25 square meters. The design team, led by principal architects Aleksander Czerwonka Jabłoński and Tomasz Borowiak, with team leader Zuzanna Norkiewicz and designer Kaja Onichimowska, drew inspiration from the building itself—one of the most emblematic modernist structures in Wrocław. Rather than recreating its historical interior, the architects translated its architectural language into a contemporary space for Chleboteka. The rounded geometry of the building became the guiding principle, reflected in the counter, furniture, ceiling, and details. Materials such as Warsaw 'gorseciki' tiles, carved wood paneling, ornamental glass, and steel reference modernist architecture while maintaining coherence with Chleboteka's contemporary identity.
