Chihuly: Venice 2026 — Monumental Glass Installations Along the Grand Canal
Dale Chihuly is set to make his return to Venice with the exhibition 'Chihuly: Venice 2026', which will showcase three significant outdoor glass installations that can be seen from the Accademia Bridge, alongside a historical display at Palazzo Loredan. Organized by Pilchuck Glass School and curated by Suzanne Geiss, this event will take place from May 5 to November 14, 2026, with no admission fee. Featured installations include 'Gold Tower' (2025) at Palazzo Franchetti, 'Blue Green Tower' (2025) at Palazzo Balbi Valier, and 'End of the Day Chandelier' (2025) at Palazzo Querini alla Carità. The exhibition will also present archival materials and the 'Golden Celadon Baskets' series, emphasizing Chihuly's ties to Venetian glassmaking since 1968. It will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00–19:00, at Campo Santo Stefano 2945.
