Chiharu Shiota Takes Over Shangri-La Paris Lobby During Art Basel Paris Week

From October 20 to 28, 2026, the lobby rotunda of Shangri-La Paris will feature six artworks by Chiharu Shiota, who was born in 1972, with free admission for all. This marks the inaugural partnership between the palace and Galerie Templon, the gallery that represents Shiota. Victor de Bonnecaze de Meritens, the gallery director, remarked on the limited audience for Shiota's prior exhibition at Musée Guimet due to Covid restrictions. The displayed works, crafted between 2022 and 2026, will include State of Being (Mask) (2023), State of Being (Diary) (2022), Inside Memory (2025), and Strange Home (2026). Concurrently, from October 20 to 25, Harry Nuriev will set up a table at Le Dalí restaurant, while Aurore Guez's paintings will be on view at Maison Delano until November 15.
