Chiara Camoni's "I fiori del male" Opens at Società delle Api in Rome, Ahead of Venice Biennale 2026

exhibition · 2026-09-30

From 9 October 2026 to 26 January 2027, Società delle Api in Rome will host Chiara Camoni's solo exhibition titled "I fiori del male," curated by Alice Motard. This exhibition showcases pieces from Silvia Fiorucci's collection alongside new site-specific works that draw inspiration from Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal, delving into the more sinister aspects of flowers. It begins with pencil sketches of lilies created during the pandemic. Contributions from artists such as Fantine Andrès and Maria Loboda further enhance the thematic exploration. The architectural design of the venue enriches the visitor experience, and the opening event will feature a collaborative performance by CircoTornio. Additionally, three Public Program sessions will focus on artistic practices. Camoni will also represent Italy at the 61st Venice Biennale. The opening is scheduled for 9 October from 5 to 8 pm, with visits available by appointment on weekdays from 11 am to 6 pm.
