Chengdu Haiyang Road Middle School by Changwu Architects

The Chengdu Haiyang Road Middle School, completed in 2023, occupies a 44,071 square meter site and covers 59,760 square meters in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. This project was spearheaded by principal Cai Changze for the Sichuan Tianfu New District Education and Health Bureau, with construction managed by Chengdu Tianfu New District Investment Group Co., Ltd. and China Mcc5 Group Corp., Ltd. The local design was executed by Chengdu JZFZ Architectural Design Co., Ltd. A diverse design team, including Cai Changze, Huang Shanchuang, and Zhu Jiafu as site architect, contributed to the project. The design draws from Chengdu's historic 'Wide and Narrow Alleys,' promoting a relaxed atmosphere with features like staggered streets and a platform for sunset views, emphasizing learning through exploration and interaction with nature.
