Chateaubriand and Juliette Récamier: First Exhibition on Their Thirty-Year Bond Opens in Vallée-aux-Loups
From October 2, 2026, to September 26, 2027, the Maison de Chateaubriand in the Domaine de la Vallée-aux-Loups will host the inaugural exhibition focusing on François-René de Chateaubriand and Juliette Récamier. Entitled "Mon dernier rêve étant pour vous," the exhibit delves into their three-decade relationship that began in 1817. Curated by Anne Sudre, the display includes portraits, manuscripts, and personal artifacts, such as a portrait of Récamier by Jacques-Louis David. An opening weekend on October 10–11, 2026, will feature tours and lectures. The Maison is located at 87 rue de Chateaubriand, 92290 Châtenay-Malabry, with admission priced at €6 and €5 for reduced tickets.
