Charlotte Edey residency at G/ART/EN in Como

British artist Charlotte Edey (b. 1992, Manchester) will spend July 2026 in residence at G/ART/EN gallery in Como, Italy. Represented by James Cohan Gallery in New York and Ginny on Frederick in London, Edey works across painting, embroidery, beads, wood, and precious materials like freshwater pearls and colored glass. Her hybrid pieces start with drawing and build layered surfaces that shift with light. In 2026 she had solo shows at Massimo De Carlo in Paris and James Cohan in New York, and her work has been exhibited at Hauser & Wirth Somerset, Frieze London, and FLAG Art Foundation. G/ART/EN, located in Como's historic center, has run an international program for nearly a decade, focusing on emerging female artists. The residency aims to develop new work in dialogue with the local territory.
