Chanel's 19M Opens Free Exhibition of Artisan Crafts in Paris

The 19M, a building designed by Rudy Ricciotti on the northern edge of Paris, houses nearly six hundred artisans. Opened by Chanel in 2022, it brings together twelve métiers d'art houses specializing in embroidery, featherwork, costume jewelry, and hat-making. The venue is now offering free access for nearly seven weeks to a sensory journey through nine resident workshops, including Lesage, Lemarié, and Goossens. These ateliers perpetuate skills that haute couture alone can no longer sustain, revealing gestures often invisible behind the value of objects. The exhibition runs until July 19, 2026, at 2 pl. Skanderbeg, 75019 Paris, open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 6:30pm, closed Monday and Tuesday.
