TJAD and DCA have designed the Renewal Experiment of Chaiji Lane in Yingtan, Jiangxi Province, China. The project, led by architect CHEN Qiang, covers 33,600 m² and is scheduled for completion in 2026. It addresses the regeneration challenges of historic districts in small towns, where physical deterioration has led to hollowing-out, aging populations, and loss of vitality, compounded by limited resources and weak market drive. The planning team includes FU Na, QIN Yuan, SHI Qingyuan, and WANG Jiaqi; the architecture team includes CHEN Jianru, XIE Song, FU Yue, and JIN Zenghui. Clients are the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Yujiang District, Yingtan City. Engineering is by ZOU Gongli, ZHU Qiang, MIN Liang, MA Xiaodong, and KE Chaojun.
