Ceramics and landscape dialogue at La Crescentina in Monferrato

La Crescentina, an art center in Fubine, Alessandria, presents 'Mani di terra', a group exhibition curated by Marzia Capannolo with critical contribution by Paolo Repetto. The show features works by Bruno Ceccobelli, Lucio Fontana, Maïmouna Guerresi, Nedda Guidi, Ana Hillar, Fausto Melotti, Kazumasa Mizokami, Riccardo Monachesi, Nanni Valentini, and Carlo Zauli. Housed in a former barn on the rural estate owned by Alessandro Monteforte, who founded the La Crescentina art association in 2021, the exhibition emphasizes the dialogue between ceramics and the surrounding Monferrato landscape. The association also awards scholarships in music, such as the one named after Vincenzo and Barbara Miraglio, coordinated by Fiorella Miraglio. The historic building, regenerated by Monteforte since the 1980s, features interventions by Aldo Mondino, Urano Palma, Maïmouna Guerresi, Antonio Paradiso, and Giovanni Tamburelli. Notable works include Fontana's glazed ceramic 'Crocifisso' (1956-57), Valentini's terracottas, and Guerresi's triptych 'Ex-Voto' (2026) with bullet holes forming the word 'NÛR' in Braille. The exhibition runs until July 19, 2026.
