Centre Pompidou Francilien – Fabrique de l'Art by PCA / Prellwitz Chilinski Associates to Open in 2026
The Centre Pompidou Francilien – Fabrique de l'Art, a 28,923 m² building designed by PCA / Prellwitz Chilinski Associates (PCA-STREAM), is scheduled for completion in 2026. It will house the reserve collections of two institutions. The project team includes ETAMINE for environmental sustainability engineering, Studio FA for acoustics, and PCA-STREAM for landscape architecture. The building presents two contrasting faces that reflect the paradox of its brief: one side operates as a sealed vault, a monolithic form that admits only carefully controlled natural light into its workshops, ensuring that two of the world's most important modern art collections can be conserved and restored under optimal conditions. Photographs are by Jean-Philippe Mesguen. The project is categorized as cultural architecture, museums and exhibition spaces, and sustainability. The design was submitted by the project team.
