Centenarian artist Ken Turner crushes Tesla with tank in new exhibition

Ken Turner, a 100-year-old painter, sculptor, and performance artist, is staging a new exhibition that includes a performance where he flattens a Tesla with a tank. Turner, possibly the world's oldest performance artist, has dedicated his life to making art accessible to the masses. In the 1960s, he pioneered interactive public art with giant inflatable sculptures, decades before immersive art became mainstream. He studied under Fernand Léger, was friends with John Berger, and made frames for Frank Auerbach. The exhibition features his ongoing critique of inequality and consumer culture. Turner describes himself as 'a simple rebel' rather than a revolutionary, and shows no signs of stopping his artistic practice.
