Céleste Boursier-Mougenot's zebra finch guitar installation debuts in Portugal

French artist and composer Céleste Boursier-Mougenot presents his first exhibition in Portugal at MAAT (Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia) in Lisbon. The show features his iconic work 'from here to ear v.26', an immersive soundscape where some twenty electric guitars are played by zebra finches that perch freely on the instruments. Visitors walk through the room, aligning their perception and movements with the birds. The piece creates a permanent musical composition that is both random and controlled, uniting two worlds through resonating music. Boursier-Mougenot has exhibited at prestigious institutions worldwide.
