Cecilia Alemani to Curate 2027 Taipei Biennial

Cecilia Alemani, director and chief curator of High Line Art in New York, has been appointed curator of the 2027 Taipei Biennial, as announced by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum (TFAM). Born in Milan and based in New York, Alemani previously curated the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022 and the 12th SITE Santa Fe International in 2025. In a statement, she emphasized the urgency of platforms like the Taipei Biennial in the current global climate, describing them as vital spaces for creative expression and cultural resilience that foster dialogue at a critical historical crossroads.
