CEBRA transforms Willemoesgade block into mixed-use neighborhood in Aarhus

Danish architecture firm CEBRA has completed the adaptive reuse of the Willemoesgade block in Aarhus, transforming a former industrial complex into a mixed-use neighborhood. The 24,500 m² project, slated for completion in 2026, preserves the site's industrial aesthetic while introducing new functions to create a permeable urban structure and dynamic meeting point. The project is located in the Trøjborg area and includes architecture, landscape, and urban planning by CEBRA, with engineering consultancy by NIRAS and general contracting by Vognsen & Co. The revitalization aims to restore purpose to a lost urban ensemble, fostering community interaction.
