CCRA Arquitectura Completes LoyCo House, a Lakeside Holiday Home in Chile's Vichuquén Region

CCRA Arquitectura, based in Santiago, has finished designing LoyCo House, a vacation spot near Vichuquén Lake on Chile's central coast. Architects Ricardo Atanacio and Carolina Contreras created this home just a few steps from a small jetty, not far from Llico Beach and the Colchagua wine region. The clients wanted a getaway that reflects local agriculture and fishing, incorporating native plants and nearby rivers. The L-shaped design features both public and private areas surrounding a central courtyard and two gardens across two levels. The ground floor includes four double suites and a spacious kitchen, while the upper floor has two additional bedrooms, including a primary suite. An outdoor sports facility with a raised pool-pond rounds out the home, and the use of glulam timber trusses pays homage to local agricultural architecture. Landscape architects Cristóbal Elgueta and Macarena Calvo crafted the outdoor space to harmonize with nature. The location is somewhat hard to access by regular roads. Photos are by Aryeh Kornfeld.
