CCCB Barcelona Summer Cinema: Experimental Animation and City Visions

The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) presents a summer film series exploring how filmmakers and artists imagine cities. Screenings take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 6:00 PM in the CCCB Auditorium, with free admission. The program is divided into three blocks: "Aventuras en la ciudad 1" (July 8, 18, 29 and August 8, 19, 29, 2026) features Zdeněk Miler's "Topito en la ciudad" (1982) and Anete Melece's "El quiosco" (2013). "Aventuras en la ciudad 2" (July 11, 22, August 1, 12, 22, and September 2, 2026) includes Segundo de Chomón's "Barcelone, principale ville de la Catalogne" (1912), Laura Ginés' "Roma con i bambini" (2008) and "Molt bé les campanes" (2009), Juan Wauters' "Dime amiga" (2025), Laura Heit's "A Universe" (2018), Phil Lerner's "My Own Yard To Play In" (1959), Zbigniew Rybczyński's "El Nuevo Libro" (1975), and Jeff Scher's "Spring City" (2011). "Aventuras en la ciudad 3" (July 15, 25, August 5, 15, 26, and September 5, 2026) features Al Jarnow's "Architecture" (1980), Co Hoedeman's "Tchou-tchou" (1972), and Hermína Týrlová's "La muñeca perdida" (1959). The series is open to all ages and runs through September 5, 2026.
