CCCB Barcelona dedicates course to Emily Dickinson's radical poetry

The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) is organizing a course titled "Emily Dickinson, una carta al mundo" (Emily Dickinson, a letter to the world), running from October 1 to November 26, 2026. The course will explore the life and work of the reclusive American poet, whose radical and free verse was not fully appreciated until the 20th century. Sessions will be held in person and online, with speakers including poet and translator Sam Abrams, poet and editor Nicole d'Amonville, educator and translator Andrea Montoya, professor Míriam Cano, poet Aitana Monzón, and editor Andreu Jaume. Topics range from Dickinson's biography and letters to themes of doubt, love, death, and her place in the literary canon. Registration is available through the CCCB website, with fees of 75 euros general admission and 60 euros for students, pensioners, unemployed, over 65, CCCB friends, and people with disabilities.
