Cattelan unveils new wall piece at Basel Social Club

Maurizio Cattelan is presenting five works at Basel Social Club, including BEWARE OF YOURSELF, only the second statement wall piece he has made. The works are shown by Three Star Books, the Paris-based publisher with whom Cattelan has collaborated for over 18 years. Cattelan’s Comedian, a banana duct-taped to a wall, debuted at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2019 and was stolen last month from the Centre Pompidou-Metz in France (the fruit was quickly replaced). The Basel Social Club exhibition runs until 20 June at Erdbeergraben 1, Basel.
