Castelli in Acquerello Exhibition Awards Winners at Rome's Campidoglio

The national competition-exhibition 'Castelli in Acquerello' took place from May 15 to 19 at Palazzo Tittoni's Giardino d'Inverno in Rome, with the awards ceremony on May 29 at the Sala della Protomoteca in Campidoglio. Organized by the Associazione Romana Acquerellisti (ARA) and the Istituto Italiano dei Castelli (IIC), the show featured 32 artists depicting castles, fortresses, and manors from various eras. Stefano Imbratta won first prize from the technical jury for 'Atmosfera notturna del Castello di Santa Severa', while Enrico Genovesi placed second with 'Ninfa, Castello Caetani'. David Mancazzo received the popular jury prize and third place for 'Riflessi'. ARA president Daniela Marzano emphasized the importance of promoting watercolor as an ancient yet contemporary art. IIC vice president Antonella Susanna, representing president Luigi Catemario Tittoni di Quadri, expressed interest in repeating the initiative. The ceremony also honored Ettore Roesler Franz, 19th-century watercolorist and founder of ARA.
