Castellabate’s Castle Hosts Contemporary Art Shows as Film Sequel Shoots

As filming begins for the sequel to the hit comedy 'Benvenuti al Sud' in Castellabate, the Castello dell’Abate is preparing to host contemporary art exhibitions organized by the Fondazione Pio Alferano e Virginia Ippolito. The foundation, established in 2012 to honor General Pio Alferano, has run the Premio Pio Alferano for over a decade, turning the medieval castle into a venue for art. The new exhibitions are part of the 'Theatrum Mundi' program, which brings together visual arts, performance, and cinema. The shows will feature works by contemporary Italian and international artists, though specific names have not been disclosed. The initiative underscores the cultural revival of the Cilento region, blending cinematic fame with art patronage.
