Casa Vão: Minimal-Impact Residence in Maresias by Studio Carlito e Renata Pascucci
In Maresias, on the northern coast of São Paulo, Studio Carlito e Renata Pascucci Arquitetura has completed Casa Vão, a 165 m² residential project completed in 2022. The clients' primary request was to preserve the local vegetation as much as possible, which became the project's greatest challenge. The 1,200 m² plot sits at the foot of the Serra do Mar mountain range. The design prioritized minimal environmental impact, avoiding unnecessary clearing and integrating the house into the existing landscape. Photographs by Julia Novoa document the result. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira, with Renata Pascucci serving as lead architect.
