Casa Terra Catarina: A 600 m² Mountain Refuge by Nola Arquitetura
Perched atop a mountain and enveloped by a dense araucaria forest, Casa Terra Catarina is a 600 m² countryside retreat designed by Nola Arquitetura. The project, completed in 2025, overlooks a valley delineated by a Permanent Preservation Area, with sunsets as a daily spectacle. The architecture blends contemporary design with memory and territory, creating a dialogue between nature and built form. The team includes lead architect Thaís Faria, coordination by Bruna Beckert, and project team member Michele Ribas. Materials and products were sourced from Docol, Lohn Esquadrias, and Mekal. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira, with photographs by Eduardo Macarios.
