Casa T(errakota) by Spacefiction Studio: A Red Fort in Warangal

In Warangal, Telangana, India, Spacefiction Studio has designed Casa T(errakota), a residential project completed in 2026. The name derives from 'Erra kota', meaning 'red fort' in Telugu, reflecting the building's striking terracotta walls that contrast with abundant vegetation. The 10,000 square-foot residence is part of a city known for its ancient temples and architectural heritage. Recent infrastructure improvements, including a new ring road around Hyderabad, have spurred rapid growth and rising land prices in Warangal. The project was led by Naresh Nallapuneni, with principal architects Baba Sashank and Vindhya Guduru. Structural engineering was provided by Alonum Design Consultants, landscape architecture by RRR Landscapes, and additional engineering by JDB Fabtech. Photographs were taken by Vivek Eadara. The design integrates the local context and responds to the evolving urban landscape, making it a notable example of contemporary residential architecture in the region.
