Casa RP02: Cornetta Arquitetura's Industrialized Residence in Ribeirão Preto

In Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, Cornetta Arquitetura has completed Casa RP02, a 250 m² residence that applies industrialized construction systems typically reserved for large-scale projects. Completed in 2022, the house is conceived as an assembly, bringing together prefabricated concrete, a metallic structure, prestressed alveolar slabs, thermally insulated metal panels, and drywall partitions. Pedro Cornetta served as lead architect, with project team members Luigi Borges and Eduardo Jodar. Structural engineering and consulting were provided by Marka Pré-Fabricados and Grupo RP, while Latar Engenharia handled installations. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira for ArchDaily, and Pedro Cornetta photographed the completed work. The design departs from conventional residential practice by adopting components common in major construction, resulting in a residence that reads as a kit of parts rather than a traditional masonry building.
