Casa Raízes: Cliffside Residence in Trancoso by Studio Gontijo Arquitetura

Casa Raízes, designed by Studio Gontijo Arquitetura, is a 1,474 m² residential project completed in 2025, located on a cliff in Trancoso, Bahia, Brazil. The house overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, with private access to Itapororoca Beach. The project was led by architects Gabriela Gontijo, Mariana Hummel, and Jade Ávila, with a team including Nathália Mattos, Ana Clara Dias, Humberto Figueiredo, Maria Carolina Lobo, Raphael Casseb, and Cecília Pizutti. Curated by Susanna Moreira, the design emphasizes a deep connection to the landscape, integrating the lush vegetation and ocean views. The property was chosen for its privileged location and proximity to another family-owned property.
