Casa Mouda: New Lagos Creative Studio to Open with 'The Design Institute'
This fall, Lagos, Nigeria, will welcome Casa Mouda, a creative studio established by Caline Chagoury Moudaber, evolving from her 2013 initiative, Art Twenty One. The launch will present 'The Design Institute,' a collectible design exhibition hosted at aiMe Gallery in Eko Hotel and aiMe Concept on Eko Atlantic, which has been reimagined by architect Papa Omotayo and designer Nifemi Marcus-Bello. The exhibition highlights a diverse array of African designers, such as Germane Barnes and Hajar Daide, as well as crafts from Baba Tree in Ghana and Malawi's People of the Sun. Casa Mouda seeks to cultivate enduring partnerships between Nigerian artisans and designers, enriching the local design scene with a unique soundscape and fragrances to encourage cultural exchange.
