Casa Marena: Coastal-Inspired Restaurant Design in Polanco by Faci Leboreiro
Casa Marena, a modern dining establishment located in Polanco, Mexico City, has been reimagined by Faci Leboreiro from a former home into a unique architectural space inspired by the coastal beauty of Mexico. While maintaining the building's original character, the design incorporates modern features. Upon entering, guests encounter a central island bar adorned with sculptures made from fresh fruit. Spanning three levels, each floor boasts its own distinct vibe. The ground level showcases porcelain tiles resembling wood, travertine, and plush fabrics, while the upper floors house kitchens and a versatile private room. A rooftop terrace, complete with a pergola and a century-old jacaranda tree, enriches the ambiance. The color scheme reflects the hues of sand and sea, complemented by coral-like designs and artwork from Arozarena de la Fuente. The restaurant's culinary focus is on contemporary Mexican seafood and has been highlighted in the 89th edition of Glocal Design Magazine, titled 'Visionarias del espacio.'
