Casa Klaus: A Coastal Residence by Neo Architects in Western Cape

Neo Architects has designed Casa Klaus, a contemporary six-bedroom coastal residence located in the Romansbaai development in Western Cape, South Africa. The project, completed in 2025, covers an area of 480 square meters and was developed by Vita Projects, with structural engineering by Z-Con. The client's vision was to maximize panoramic sea views while responding sensitively to the site's steep topography, prevailing winds, and strict height restrictions. The residence integrates extensive indoor and outdoor living areas, wellness facilities, guest accommodation, and sustainable design strategies such as solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and green roofs. The architectural response aims to balance luxury with environmental sensitivity, producing a durable, low-maintenance home that seamlessly connects with the surrounding fynbos landscape and the changing coastal context.
