Casa DM Tunquén by Loft 7: A 280 m² Residence on Chile's Coast

Casa DM Tunquén, designed by Loft 7, is a 280 m² residence completed in 2023 on the northern slope of Playa Tunquén, Chile. The project, curated by Valentina Díaz, occupies a long, narrow, steeply sloping site oriented southward, with views of the coastal plain, estuary, and wetland. The design treats topography as a structuring condition, descending from the upper level toward the landscape. Lead architects Sebastián Ortúzar and Igor Moraga led the team, with Cristóbal Jaque as lead team member and Fabián Acuña on the design team. Construction was carried out by Constructora MOA Ltda., with structural engineering by RK3 - Ingenieros Calculistas. Materials include products from Lamitech. Photography by Fabián Acuña.
