Casa Butantã by André Guerra Arquitetos: 39 m² São Paulo Apartment Renovation

André Guerra Arquitetos has completed Casa Butantã, a 39 m² residential apartment renovation in São Paulo, Brazil, finished in 2023. The project, curated by Susanna Moreira, was photographed by Camila Alba. The design team included André Guerra as lead architect and Michel Blanco, with André Guerra also credited as project team member. The intervention preserves the original smoothed cement floor while painting the scissor-type wooden beam white to elevate the gaze and create a sense of spaciousness. The project balances permanence and transformation, as described by the architecture team. It falls under the categories of residential architecture and apartments. The original version of this project was published in Portuguese on ArchDaily Chile.
