Casa Barefoot Dreams by Ameet Mirpuri Design Studio Descends a 15-Meter Slope in Morjim, Goa

Ameet Mirpuri Design Studio has completed Barefoot Dreams, a 26,200-square-foot contemporary retreat house in the coastal landscape of Morjim, Goa, India, with a project year of 2025. The residence is distributed along a steep natural 15-meter incline, and the design was carefully conceived to adapt to the terrain rather than transform it, allowing the architecture to step gently down the hill while framing expansive views of the Arabian Sea. Each level is positioned to celebrate the site's changes in elevation, turning movement through the home into a gradual sequence of spatial experiences. The project team included lead architect Ameet Mirpuri, design team members Kshitija Kanwar and Sukhritaa Deepak Menda, landscape architecture by Kiasma Studio, and architecture office Studio JH. Suppliers included Light Sketch of Hyderabad, Alumil Systems of Mumbai for windows, and Floor-Tex of New Delhi for wood clads.
