Casa Attraverso il Patio: A Journey Through Domestic Landscape

Otro Estudio Arquitectura has designed Casa Attraverso il Patio, a residence in an unspecified location that transforms the daily passage between street and home into a sensory experience. The project, developed for a client named Gabi, integrates a pre-existing two-story structure with a new single-level volume, creating a central patio that serves as a threshold between public and private realms. The design emphasizes the patio as a device for experiencing nature through textures, colors, seasonal changes, and water features, with the interior spaces connected to a personal art collection. The original construction, featuring traditional brick masonry, contrasts with the new exposed concrete addition, highlighting the material's plastic qualities. The project rethinks the relationship between architecture and landscape, positioning the patio as a shared space that enriches everyday life.
