Casa 6AM by Studio PKA: A Weekend Retreat in Aamby Valley
Casa 6AM, a weekend house designed by Studio PKA for two families, has been completed in Aamby Valley, Lonavala, Maharashtra, India. The project, which began as a half-hectare plot, evolved to incorporate an adjacent pre-existing lot, resulting in a total area of 12,000 square meters. The house is oriented eastward to capture the soft morning light, inspiring its name, '6AM.' It sits against the backdrop of vast mountain ranges and the Korigad fort to the west. The design team, led by principal architect Puran Kumar, included Noel Woodward, Vaishnavi Iyer, Shruti Todankar, and Kavya Turaga. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro.
