Carnovsky Launches RGB-Not Wallpapers as Contemporary Frescoes

architecture-design · 2026-10-06

Milan-based collective Carnovsky has introduced RGB-Not wallpapers, a digitally printed collection conceived as contemporary frescoes. The new line echoes the light-interactive behavior of Carnovsky's original RGB collection, which debuted in 2010. Across three distinct otherworldly scenes, the palette moves through sienna, forest green, dusty pink and cobalt blue. Each composition reinterprets the traditional fresco, a mural painting tradition, as a window onto fantastic worlds, enchanted forests and dreamlike jungles, according to the studio. Production is made to order on non-woven material using digital printing, with rolls measuring 100 centimetres wide, or 1000 millimetres. Carnovsky is the project of artist and designer duo Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla, working from Milan. The launch was presented through Dezeen Showroom, the platform's partnership space for product debuts, and is promoted via the quarterly Dezeen Showroom new releases newsletter. Contact for the product is franz@carnovsky.com, with further details at carnovsky.com.
