Carlos Cartaxo Leads Two-Day Painting-as-Object Workshop at CentroCentro Madrid

On October 16-17, 2026, Carlos Cartaxo, a Spanish artist and Fine Arts graduate from the University of Salamanca (2003), will conduct a workshop at CentroCentro in Madrid. The session, named 'Pinturas como objetos. Un acercamiento al relieve pictórico,' emphasizes the shift from two-dimensional to three-dimensional art through geometric abstraction. Attendees will use paper and MDF to construct structures and reliefs while experimenting with volume using acrylic paint. The workshop is scheduled for October 16, 2026, from 16:00 to 20:00, and October 17, 2026, from 10:30 to 14:30, in Sala Sigfrido Martín Begué. Registration, costing 30 euros, is available on the CentroCentro website, with a limit of 15 participants. Cartaxo has an extensive exhibition history and has earned multiple awards, including the Caravana Internacional de Artes Plásticas in 2007.
