Cara Delevingne Launches Music Career with Two Singles and Album Announcement

Cara Delevingne released two singles, 'I Forgot' and 'Out of My Head,' in a joint seven-minute music video directed by Jessica Lee Gagné, known for her work on 'Severance.' The surreal, cinematic video features Delevingne's vulnerable lyrics over distorted electronic production. The songs are the lead singles from her debut album, set for release later this summer via Warner Records. A tour kicks off in June. Delevingne, who previously modeled for Burberry and Chanel and acted in films like 'Paper Towns' and 'Suicide Squad,' made her West End debut in 'Cabaret' in 2024. She describes the album as a rebirth, drawing on lyrics from her Notes app, including a poem about mental health from her late teens or early 20s. The video was shot in Montreal over five days, including a scene in a closed department store and a forest during a blizzard. Delevingne paid for the video herself. She cites influences from 1990s female singer-songwriters and rave culture. Her partner, musician Minke, was the only person whose opinion she sought during the album's creation.
