Cano House by Diego Cano-Lasso Hovers Above Los Angeles

Cano House, a residential project by architect Diego Cano-Lasso, has been completed in Los Angeles, United States. The 2250 ft² house is perched on a hillside, reinterpreting mid-century hillside homes with a design that integrates panoramic views. The structure consists of a series of beams supported by slender posts, creating an effect of hovering above the city. The project was completed in 2025 and photographed by Iwan Baan. Manufacturers include Andrew Riiska, Base Collaborative, Ceramiques Est, Entler Studio, and Luz Mixtura. The design team includes Alejandro Cano, with Belen Rodero on the technical team and Jose Garcia on structural engineering. The project was curated by Susanna Moreira.
