Cannes 2026 Announces Lineup with Park Chan-wook as Jury President, Streisand and Jackson Honored

Scheduled from May 12 to 23, 2026, the 79th Cannes Film Festival will spotlight international arthouse cinema. Park Chan-wook, marking a historic moment as the first Korean jury president, will lead the panel. Barbra Streisand and Peter Jackson will receive honorary Palme d’Ors. Among the 17 films in focus, Cristian Mungiu presents a narrative featuring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve set in a Norwegian village. Pedro Almodóvar directs Bárbara Lennie, with a cameo by Penélope Cruz. Asghar Farhadi's Parisian film stars Isabelle Huppert and Vincent Cassel. Other notable directors include Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Nicolas Winding Refn, Jane Schoenbrun, Ira Sachs, Paweł Pawlikowski, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Andy Garcia, Quentin Dupieux, Na Hong-jin, and Ron Howard.
