Campus Deleers: Europe's First Mixed-Use Education and Production Hub by SMAK Architects

SMAK Architects has completed Campus Deleers, a pioneering 26,000-square-meter mixed-use development in Anderlecht, Brussels, which claims to be Europe's first building to combine education and urban production under one roof. The project, curated by Nina Vuga, transforms a former degraded industrial site along the Brussels canal into a vibrant neighborhood, embodying the city's vision of the Productive City. The architectural team, led by principals Mathias Kerremans and John Flippo, with design by Simo Staessens and technical input from John Flippo, collaborated with landscape architect Stefaan Thiers, civil engineering firm M-Gineers, general contractor BAM Interbuild, and project manager Kairos.
