Camira Marks 50th Anniversary with ReSKU 2.0 Fabric Made from Recycled Wool and Flax
In 2024, British textile producer Camira introduced ReSKU 2.0 to mark its 50th anniversary. This innovative fabric merges recycled wool and polyamide sourced from manufacturing waste with low-carbon flax. Drawing inspiration from the 1998 ReSKU fabric crafted from recycled army jumpers, the production is handled by Camira's textile recycling division, iinouiio. ReSKU 2.0 boasts a tweed-like texture and is offered in 24 colors, making it ideal for seating, curtains, and panels in contemporary workplaces and hospitality settings. Its makeup consists of 66% recycled wool, 21% flax, and 13% recycled polyamide, with a width of 1400 millimeters. The product highlights sustainable manufacturing practices and was showcased on Dezeen Showroom, with inquiries directed to victoria.kulczycki@camirafabrics.com.
