Camille presents 'The Sound Of Milk' at Palais de Tokyo with Sophie Calle artwork

French singer Camille presents the first part of her new album 'The Sound Of Milk' at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, running from May 29 to June 1, 2026. The album, a 29-track triptych exploring motherhood, is played continuously in the 37dB listening room. The cover photo was taken by artist Sophie Calle, a longtime friend, on the roof of Calle's home in Malakoff. Camille describes the image as a contemporary Madonna and Child, reflecting on the world's hostility and the need for tenderness. The album is set for release on September 18, 2026, via Because Music. Camille, who won an Oscar, Golden Globe, and César for the soundtrack of Jacques Audiard's 'Emilia Pérez' (composed with partner Clément Ducol), cites influences including Chiharu Shiota and Serena Carone. The project began when Camille, after the birth of her second child, asked Calle to photograph her breastfeeding. Calle, who has chosen not to have children, previously created a 2018 self-portrait mimicking breastfeeding. Camille also references Antonello da Messina's 'Annunciation' (1475–1476) as an inspiration.
