CAMeC La Spezia Revisits Romanticism Through Contemporary Art
An exhibition titled 'Ripensando il Romanticismo nell’arte contemporanea' is currently on display at CAMeC in La Spezia, curated by Elena Volpato. The show features the works of seven contemporary artists, each reflecting on Romanticism. Among the highlights is Giovanni Anselmo’s 1969 installation addressing human interference with gravity, alongside a vintage slide depicting his shadow from Stromboli’s summit on August 16, 1965. Massimo Bartolini’s paintings evoke celestial themes, while Ian Kiaer finds inspiration in the 1822 home of Percy and Mary Shelley. Other participating artists include Michele Tocca, David Schutter, Pesce Khete, and Linda Fregni Nagler. The exhibition will continue until September 16 at Piazza Cesare Battisti, 1.
