Callum Scott Howells and Gabrielle Creevy Lead Welsh Thriller 'The Night They Vanished' on Channel 4

other · 2026-10-05

Callum Scott Howells, celebrated for his Bafta Cymru award-winning performance in It's A Sin, takes the lead in the six-part thriller The Night They Vanished, based on Vanessa Savage's novel. Filmed in Wales, the series stars Welsh actress Gabrielle Creevy as Anna, who finds her childhood home listed on a true-crime site as the location of her family's impending deaths. When her family goes missing, despite police dismissing the claim as a prank, Anna is pulled into a mystery. Howells portrays Cai, the website's creator, who claims he did not post the listing, describing him as "charming, complicated and never quite what he seems." The cast also includes Tamzin Outhwaite and Steffan Rhodri. The series, produced by CliffEdge Entertainment with support from the Welsh government, will debut on Channel 4 later this year.
