Caliza Arquitectura Rehabilitates Former Garage into Office 101 Casa Andina in Medellín
Caliza Arquitectura has finalized Office 101 Casa Andina, a 52 m² office space located in the Laureles neighborhood of Medellín, Colombia, which was completed in 2025. This project is situated within a building that exemplifies the traditional residential architecture of the area, having been repurposed over the years from a printing press to its current function as a coworking hub for architecture firms. Instead of demolishing the site, the design rehabilitates the former garage through adaptive reuse, transforming a storage area into an innovative workspace while honoring the building's history. The project features lead architect Mariana Vélez, with contributions from José Puentes for gardens, Sebastián Valencia for construction, and carpentry by Árbol de hierro and Fredy Vanegas. Photography was provided by Sitio Estudio and Mariana Vélez, and it was curated by Valentina Díaz, categorized under Offices Interiors.
