Calbo Tribute at Zénith de Paris Unites French Rap Heirs Lino, Oxmo Puccino, Youssoupha

A tribute concert honoring Calbo takes place on October 14 at the Zénith de Paris, bringing together Lino of Ärsenik alongside Oxmo Puccino and Youssoupha. The event revisits the legacy of a question Calbo posed three decades ago: who claims to make rap without taking a position? Lino, Calbo's brother and Ärsenik co-member, uses the occasion to reflect on the group's inheritance and its continued resonance in French rap. The lineup places three generations of the genre's socially engaged voices on one stage, from Ärsenik's 1990s emergence to Youssoupha's contemporary output. Le Monde frames the concert around the persistence of politically committed rap in France, using Calbo's original challenge as the through-line. The date, October 14, anchors the homage in Paris, with the Zénith serving as the venue for the gathering of the artist's heirs.
